Brentham Meadows, Brent River Park, Ealing
This open space is kept as a hay meadow, cut once a year so wildflowers and insects can flourish. The photo is taken where Western Avenue crosses the River Brent.

Western Avenue (A40) at Alperton Lane
Yes, that really is a Triumph Dolomite turning off the A40. One of the cars of my L-plate days. No power steering, a gearbox which needed a winch to shift it and acceleration of 0-60 the same day if you were lucky.

Hawker Hunter on tower of Vanguard self storage
This Hawker Hunter jet fighter WT555 was the first one made of the production F1 model, in 1953, and was used for trials. Later it was in the RAF museum, then was sold and bought privately by the owner of Vanguard. It is displayed on the top of the tower some years to demonstrate the heavy lifting and storage capability of the firm, in the period leading up to the anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

On the tower is a remarkable larger than life-size model of an assembly of things of the sort that might be put into storage. This is to catch the eye of users of the A40 just the other side of the site.
