Northala Fields conical mounds as public art
These mounds are being built beside the A40 using spoil from Wembley Stadium and White City. They are an artistic feature which shields a new public park from the noise and pollution of the busy A40 road.

View over the lakes at Northala Fields
Northala Fields was opened in 2008 and consists of four artificial hills standing next to the A40 Western Avenue, as well as several fishing lakes and a large field. The hills were constructed using rubble from the demolition of the original Wembley Stadium, which was closed in 2000 and demolished in 2003. The park has won a number of major awards.
The name "Northala" is how the old manor of Northall (Northolt) was recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086.

Northala Fields Mounds
These are four dome-shaped hills next to the busy M40. Though not very high, their isolated positions ensure a 360 degree view with London landmarks seen far and wide including Aladdin’s Tower, Wembley Stadium and Heathrow Airport. In 2008 Northala Fields were opened to the public for the first time as a new London park.
