Mounds at Northala Fields - the first mound from the second mound
How did the four mounds come into existence ? When Wembley Stadium was demolished in 2003, the rubble was used to construct the mounds as part of a then-new London park which was opened to the public in 2008.

Not much cycle parking at Northala Fields
This is the main parking area at Northala Fields. I have complained to Ealing Council about the lack of cycle parking several times since January 2008. They seem to have grudgingly provided one cycle stand. I went all around the park and only found two other cycle stands. But on their website http://www.ealing.gov.uk/services/leisure/parks_and_open_spaces/new_developments/northala/ Ealing Council says "the path network through the site will create links across the area for both pedestrians and cycles". [Addition in May 2011] There are now more cycle stands within the park, by play areas, the cafe and the fishing pools.
