Pillbox: S0007012, Brookside, Yeading
A double decker, hexagonal pillbox, the only remaining one of a ring of such pillboxes that surrounded the Royal Ordnance Factory run by ICI at Yeading, during WW2.
Notes attributable to: The Defence of Britain website - under the auspices of the Council for British Archaeology.

My comment: I feel certain that the men who were expected to man this pillbox would have known how to deal in no short measure with the graffiti vandals who daub their mindless daubs all over the place.
Why these miscreants feel the need to graffiti everywhere is beyond me? a week down the mines would sort them out.
