Hayes: Adam and Eve
Looking at the earliest currently available online large scale Ordnance Survey maps there has been a public house here, on the road to Uxbridge, called the Adam and Eve, since before 1865. Today's building is evidently not that 1865 structure, but it is good to see that the tradition had been maintained.

Hayes: Uxbridge County Court
Possibly somewhat misleadingly to those not in the know, Uxbridge County Court is actually in Hayes, at 501 Uxbridge Road, and about 4.8 kilometres, as the crow flies, from the entrance to the Underground station in the centre of Uxbridge...

Hayes: Ye Olde Crowne
Ye Olde Crowne it might be but a date of 1932 in the corner gable gives the game away that there is nothing oldly-worldly about this housing estate pub on the Uxbridge Road. The bus is on route U7 heading for Sainsbury's in Hayes.
