Offices and shop, Uxbridge Road, Hayes UB4
Another archive photo from my working days. I can't recall why I took this photograph but it was probably to do with the DVD rental outlet. Like many such shops it is but a memory now since the rise in online movie rental enterprises. The premises are now occupied by a florist's shop, Flower Town. The law firm, Desor and Co, is still there.

Hayes: 594 - 766 Uxbridge Road
This is just a part of the massive parade of retail outlets making up 594 to 766 Uxbridge Road. There is a right mixture of national brands such as Tesco, Santander and BetFred in there as well as local shops such as Hattons Fish Bar at 738, far left, and the Yum Sing takeaway at 722!

Hayes: Adam and Eve
Looking at the earliest currently available online large scale Ordnance Survey maps there has been a public house here, on the road to Uxbridge, called the Adam and Eve, since before 1865. Today's building is evidently not that 1865 structure, but it is good to see that the tradition had been maintained.
