Gate 3, Blyth Road, Hayes
Blyth Road was for years the Main Street of the mighty EMI record company until the whole enterprise was closed and sold off following massive losses just after the turn of the century. The 150 acre site here employed around 14,000 people at its peak in the 1960s when The Beatles were the company's star performers. Robbie Williams and The Spice Girls were also on the books in more recent years. Now only a few employees remain, looking after the enormous archive section. The Powerhouse at The Old Vinyl Factory, Hayes
Two walls of the run-down century-old Powerhouse building, on the former site of EMI factories in Blyth Road in Hayes have been painted with a vinyl inspired mural by artists Remi Rough and System from the Agents of Change.
