Waterfall and lake at Stockley Park
The previously derelict 350 acre site was transformed in the late 1980s into a commercial science park. It includes a number of lakes and other water features like this waterfall, as well as a golf course.
The London LOOP which largely follows the towpath of the Grand Union Canal in Hillingdon has been diverted to pass through Stockley Park before rejoining the towpath at the far end of this lake. The LOOP passes just to the right of this lake through the shrubbery.

Stockley Park
A business estate and country park located in the London Borough of Hillingdon. There is a golf course here, lakes and public footpaths. The London Loop - in the words of David Sharp in his guidebook - "does some exploring here". In other words, it digresses from the Grand Union Canal before returning to it later. The landscape has changed in one respect since his London Loop book was published over twenty years ago. At the exit, you can now rejoin the canal via a park rather than roadside walking as was the case when the book was originally published.

A feature of Stockley Park business estate is the setting of many of the developments beside water features as seen here. The park is built around old gravel pits which have been landscaped to enhance the setting of the offices.
