Arriving at West Ruislip
Passengers – sorry, customers – arrive for the next Central Line train towards London. The line here runs parallel to the Chiltern main line out of Marylebone. Local services call at the other West Ruislip station. The footbridge from the booking hall on Ickenham Road serves both.

One end of the Central Line, West Ruislip
The London Underground's Central Line heads north out of west London, its main branch ending here at West Ruislip. The third rail just stops. A journey here from Crystal Palace via Overground and Jubilee Line – about 50 km by rail – took about two hours. Through the arches can be glimpsed the HS2 works, where the high-speed line will emerge from the Northolt Tunnel and head for Birmingham.
