Ruined arch in Kew Gardens
Unusually, Sir William Chambers’ arch wasn’t just a mock ruin. It also served as a functional bridge over a path, enabling sheep and cattle to be brought from the Kew Road to the enclosed pastures within the Gardens. Avenue gate and lodge
Seen from Kew Road, this entrance gate to the Royal Botanic Gardens is seldom used. The delightful Queen Anne style lodge was built in 1866 and is listed, grade II*, with details at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1251933

Avenue Lodge
