Poster tower and "The Mille" by the M4
The poster tower is immediately adjacent to the elevated M4. "The Mille" is an office building at 1000 Great West Road - hence its name; see http://www.themille.co.uk/.

1000 Great West Road
View taken in 1999 when the lead tenants were Comdisco, who provided IT continuity services. I believe they have since been through Chapter 11 proceedings and no longer operate. I was working here on an IT contract for New Holland agricultural machinery dealers, another of several tenants in the building.
The pedestrian sign on the left points to the Grand Union Canal Walk.

Thames Valley University Paragon campus, building by the M4
This TVU building is very noticeable from the elevated M4 - and very close to it. TVU has some plainer blocks of student accommodation on the site.
[update Jan 2013] This is now renamed as the University of West London; Paragon is its Brentford campus. It has The School of Psychology, Social Care and Human Sciences and London College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare as well as student residences.

Brentford: University of West London Paragon Campus
This is the triangular (in plan) tower of the University of West London's Paragon Campus on Boston Manor Road. As can be seen the tower is in close proximity to the elevated M4 Motorway. The University of West London was created in 2011 from Thames Valley University, which itself was formed out of the Polytechnic of West London in 1992.
