Grand Union Canal: Lock Number 101: Thames Lock
This is the last (or first) lock on the Grand Union Canal at the point at which the canal joins the tidal River Thames at Brentford Creek. The lock, which is paired, is only usable for two hours either side of high water.

This is the canal just above Thames Lock which is effectively its southern end. 'Aurora' is a widebeam boat, which can be used both on this canal and the river, but may well be in use as a live aboard.

This unpowered barge used for carrying construction materials belongs to the Canal and River Trust, with numbers 80544 and 73. It is being used in conjunction with a dredging operation at the lock seen beyond.
