'Anna' is high and dry on the tidal River Brent immediately below Thames Locks. A few yards further on is the confluence with the River Thames, and vessels from the Grand Union Canal heading for the Thames must negotiate this stretch. The bridge above carries Dock Road.

Boatyard in Brentford
Unlike the boatyards on nearby Lots Ait, these boatyards are a hive of activity. This is a branch near the mouth of the River Brent and Grand Union Canal and is seen from the path as it heads up to Brentford High Street.
