Memorial to Sir George Rowland Hill
Sir George Rowland Hill was the Honorary Secretary of the Rugby Football Union from 1881 to 1904, and President from 1904 to 1907. The memorial is located inside Twickenham Stadium.

Sculpture at the West Entrance, Twickenham Stadium
Four sculpted figures of rugby players in action are to be found on the gate-piers at the Sir George Rowland Hill Memorial Gate, Twickenham Stadium. The artist was the American, Gerald Laing (1936-2011) who also produced the huge 'Line-Out' sculpture on the east side of the stadium. The figure nearest the camera in this view is known as 'The Winger'.
