Gillette Building, Brentford
Designed by Sir Banister F. Fletcher in 1936 and built specifically for Gillette, the razor manufacturer. The design of the building frontage is said to resemble a razor. The factory remained the UK HQ of Gillette's Operation, from before WW2 up until production ceased in 2006. Planning permission has been granted by the London Borough of Hounslow to develop the 1930s Art Deco Grade II listed into a hotel.

Gillette Clock Tower
An iconic west London landmark which gave its name to Gillette Corner at the junction of Great West Road and Syon Lane. The Gillette factory was built in 1937 and is just one of many industrial premises around here built at the same time incorporating Art Deco design. The factory closed in 2006. From a print.
