Twickenham: St Mary's Church
The odd mixture of building styles of the ragstone tower and red brick nave and chancel in this church is due to the fact that the original church collapsed in 1713, leaving just the tower. View of Twickenham riverside from the bridge to Eel Pie Island
The private Eel Pie Island is a fascinating place and is a real mixture. This is the view from the bridge which takes pedestrians from Twickenham Riverside on the left to the island on the right. There are no cars on Eel Pie Island to disturb the peace.
