This benchmark is on the side wall of #72 Waldegrave Road, which is actually Teddington Park. Some re-pointing has infilled part of the cut mark. Ordnance Survey cut mark benchmark levelled at 9.330m above Newlyn Datum verified 1957.

Pram Race, Church Road Teddington 1986
This was one of the entrants in a fund raising pram race in April or May 1986. I have submitted this picture as it shows the school field and houses behind. This field was once an estate of Victorian terraced houses until the whole area was devastated by a Nazi V-2 rocket in 1945. Post war the area was only partly redeveloped, the bulk becoming a school playing field. The rooves of the semi-detached houses in the background still show signs of repair work carried out after the bombing.
