Marton West Beck goes underground in Fairy Dell
This photograph shows the point at which Marton West Beck 'disappears' under ground - and reappears about 130 yards beyond the point of disappearance. The beck goes into a 'grilled' culvert that can be seen just to the right of the centre of the picture - where the footpath swings round to the right.

Snake Sculpture in Fairy Dell
The black 'log' that appears to traverse Marton West Beck at this point in Fairy Dell is, in fact, a sculpture of a snake. It is 'moving' in a north-westerly direction across the beck.
