A bit too close for comfort
I've read that foxes will attack hedgehogs, so this one is taking a big risk as it joins the fox under the bird feeders at RSPB Saltholme.

Swing bridge at RSPB Saltholme
Saltholme is a recently developed nature reserve to the north of the River Tees amid the industries of Teesside. The reserve visitor centre is isolated by water - lake and channels - and has to be reached by crossing this swing bridge which is swung away when the centre closes so that effectively, a moat defends the building from vandalism!
