The Zetland
Seen at a distance from the path down from Hunt's Cliff, the baroque Zetland Hotel was built in 1863 with its own private railway platform, to cater for the rapidly growing popularity of seaside holidays. Following the late 20th century decline in the popularity of such holidays, it was converted into apartments in 1989.

Fine Victorian Stained Glass
The Victoria is a public house in Saltburn, less than 100yds from the station & town centre. It has this fine stained glass window on the corner of the building, and some fine ales inside.

Former Zetland Hotel, Saltburn
The Zetland Hotel opened in Saltburn in 1863. It was commissioned by the North Eastern Railway, who built the railway line into Saltburn. The Zetland traded as a hotel until the 1980s, but the building was then converted into apartments. Saltburn railway station (site), Yorkshire
Just to the east of Saltburn station, one platform continued to the door of the Zetland Hotel, for use only by guests. The area is now privately owned. The current platforms have been cut back to end west of the main station building.
