West Street is a narrow street in the centre of St Columb Major which runs parallel to and to the west of the main thoroughfare, Fore Street.

The North Eastern End of Fore Street, St Columb
Fore Street is the narrow main road through the Centre of St Columb. The red brick building at the centre of the photo is the Barclays Bank Building, on the left is the Red Lion Inn and the less distinguished looking shops on the right have slate-faced walls, not uncommon in this town.

St Columb Major Church
A large church which dates from the 12th Century it is dedicated to Saint Columba. The church looks isolated here but is in fact adjacent to the cramped buildings of the town centre.
