Town Lane, St Mary's
Although there is nothing here to say so, this is a stretch of the A3110 which runs in a circle around the interior of the island. St Mary's three class A roads were so designated in the 1960s. The café specialises in German food, beer and wine.

Farmer Brown's Bulb Shop, Sunnyside Farm, St.Mary's
At Four Lanes End where Rocky Hill Lane meets Telegraph Road. The bulb shop had a variety of bulbs and plants for sale with an honesty box. There are many places selling a variety of produce in this way on St. Mary's. As well as spending more than we intended here we also bought locally produced grapes, beetroot and potatoes from even less sophisticated outlets all using honesty boxes.

Song Thrush at Carreg Dhu gardens, St Mary's, Scilly
Song Thrushes are very common on Scilly (unlike on mainland Britain) and are very tame. Anyone settling down on one of the many benches is likely to be visited by a resident thrush or Blackbird, even if no food is obvious. This was taken in Carreg Dhu gardens, a delightful, calm oasis within the delights and calmness of the rest of Scilly!
