St Gulval's church, Gulval
The three-stage church tower of granite blocks dates from 1440. Inside, the octagonal piers of the south arcade are probably of a similar date.

One of the Bolitho graves in Gulval churchyard
The Bolitho family has strong associations with Gulval parish as a landowner. Many of Gulval's granite houses were built by the Bolithos and a branch of the family still lives at Trengwainton House.
