Old Boundary Marker on Agar Road, Illogan Highway
Boundary Marker lying flat on the North side of the road, outside 240 Agar Road. Carn Brea parish (Kerrier district). Inscribed C / B. Thought to mark the boundary of a mine. 250m east of Fore Street roundabout and probably marks the north/south boundary between Basset and Clifden land.

East Pool Mine - Michell's Shaft

Michell's whim - East Pool
This is the National Trust's preserved rotative Cornish beam winding engine (whim) at East Pool. built in 1887 by Holman Bros of Camborne and at work until 1921 when an underground collapse closed the mine. The engine can be turned by an electric motor. The reconstructed boiler house is a more recent addition as the original had been lost following closure.
