Vale House, Robert Graves's Residence 1940-1944
Robert Graves lived in this house, Vale House, from 1940- 1944. One wonders what his thoughts and feelings might have been at this time, as he had had such a deep involvement in the First World War. He wrote "Goodbye to All That" a bitter autobiography about his experiences.
