Clayland Cross widening, ring road Paignton
Once through the Tweenaway Cross bottleneck and up the hill, the next stage of the road widening lies ahead. Pedestrians have no footpath here and are presumably supposed to cross the road, but many of them do not do so and are creating danger for themselves amongst the motorists. Whose fault is this? Why is there no footpath?

Road widening at Tweenaway Cross, Paignton
The streams of traffic through this junction have been severely disrupted and slowed by months of road widening which are due to go on until June 2011. Owners of property on this side of the road are losing several metres of garden so the traffic can carry on thundering through up the hill.
