Curlew Drive, Torquay
The road reaches a T-junction with Sandpiper Way on this bird-obsessed estate near The Willows. The pylon line sweeps past Condor Way in the background. On the left rises Welsury Covert, where birds doubtless reside.

Path above The Willows
The path runs parallel to Kingskerswell Road; The Willows estate, of which a little is visible, is below a steep wooded slope on the right.

Houses on The Willows estate, Torquay
See Image]; this image looks more to the right than Image], with houses on Curlew Way. I don't think many of the birds after which these roads were named would have ever been frequent visitors around here, and certainly you would be unlikely to hear the evocative call of the curlew in the neighbourhood.

Paths by Kingskerswell Road
A short bit of track links, via a rickety old gate, the lane to a path running parallel, both being on top of a steep slope above The Willows estate.

A fence casts a pattern on the snowy pavement beside one of the few roads on this estate not named after a bird.
