King Edward VII Memorial Clock Tower
Clock tower at the junction of Park Avenue with West Parade, dating from 1904. Designed by Robert Hembrow of Hastings, it is described in "The Buildings of England - Sussex: East with Brighton and Hove" (Nicholas Antram and Nikolaus Pevsner - 2012) as "gaudily painted, classical and illiterate".

Colourful Clock Tower
Another shot of Bexhill's sea front clock tower which was intended to mark the coronation of King Edward 7th in 1902. Unfortunately, especially for a clock, it was a bit late and wasn't completed until 1904. After a start like that, I guess it can afford to be a bit casual and is now painted up in bright colours as befits a seaside location, rather than the stony self importance of many other such monuments.
