The Old Gunhouse, Sedlescombe Street
A grade II listed building of the 17th century. Also known in the past as 'Gun Cottage'. The name is thought to derive from an ironmaster at Brickwall a short distance to the south because he kept his guns and shot here. It is also said once to have been an inn, the Dog & Gun, and may have been used by smugglers, as were many older buildings in the area.

Long Lane
The lane running from Balcombe Green southwards to Sedlescombe village. The name is, as it stands at present, a misnomer as the lane is quite short.
