The Red Lion, Snargate
In a good, traditional location - just across the road from the church. The heraldic lion on the pub sign is very medieval-looking - can anyone identify the original it's based on?

Red Lion Inn, Snargate
Located on the B2080 in the tiny community of Snargate, on Romney Marsh. A welcome sight for weary walkers - a pub that seems to be stuck in time, and the better for that.

The Red Lion, Snargate
Owned by the same family since 1911 and currently run by an ex-Land Girl the Red Lion evokes memories of how pubs used to be in the 1940s; lamps, no draught lager, beer straight from the barrel and friendly owners. A hidden gem untouched by the monotony of modern pub chains. Taken from Snargate bridge at the junction of the lane and the Rhee Wall (B2080).
