Gravestone to Ephraim Hemings Snoad in St Eanswith's Churchyard, Brenzett
I think this is a marvellous name but is typical of its mid-Victorian date (1857). Ephraim Hemings Snoad died on 12th July 1857 "in the 57th year of his age leaving his widow with six sons and seven daughters to mourn their irreparable loss."

St Eanswith's Churchyard, Brenzett
St Eanswith is set amongst trees and is one of the smaller churches on Romney Marsh. It is thought to have its origins in the 7th century, although no sign remains of a Saxon building. The present church is Norman and was commenced in the late 12th century. The church was restored in the 19th century.

East window, St Eanswith's church, Brenzett
The only stained glass in the church is a crucifixion scene by Lavers Barraud & Westlake from 1874, in memory of Rev. Tatton Brockman.
