You looking at my mare?
A sign on the gate said "warning - stallion in field" but in fact he gave no trouble as long as I kept well away from him and his females.

A short dual carriageway
The reason for this short (200 metre) stretch of segregated dual carriageway on the A20 is not obvious, unless it is just to give plenty of room for turning lanes for traffic into and out of the crematorium.

Windbreak near Charing
This long row of tall conifers is prominent on aerial mapping, which shows it to be about 250m long. It appears to have been planted as a windbreak, possibly to shelter the A20 from snowdrifts in northerly winds: it is several hundred metres from the properties along Pett Lane to the north, and therefore of no use in sheltering them.
