Knocker & Foskett, Sevenoaks High Street
A name Dickens might have been pleased to invent. They don't say what business they're in, but I have noticed that firms of solicitors have a tradition of comical names. Accommodated in a substantial Georgian building - the Red House.

Red House, Sevenoaks
A good late-C17th house, built for John Couchman of Tooting in 1686. The narrow end bays are typical, depending on your point of view, of either the lack of discipline or charm of this proto-Georgian period. The doorcase is late C18th (Image]). Grade II* listed. Now offices of Knocker & Foskett, solicitors (what else could they be?), who were there at the time of the photo. The date of the picture is uncertain.
