Buildwas Lane - the northern end
Buildwas Lane is a medieval cartway linking Little Wenlock with Buildwas. It's the best mountain bike descent in east Shropshire, especially in summertime when the track's dry; although it can get a bit muddy in the winter, being unsurfaced for much of its length. Apparently it features on some satnav systems as a public road, which led to an interesting incident a couple of years ago with a Tesco home-delivery driver who didn't know the area. It required a tractor to extricate his vehicle.

Please, someone, explain to me why it's acceptable to take 3 dozen old vehicle tyres, put them in a truck, drive them out to a remote unsurfaced country lane and dump them in the verge. I have many suitable words for people who do this sort of thing, but they are not for use on a public website.

Small barn at Middleton Stud
A half-finished stable construction in fields just off Buildwas Lane. The adjacent gate is marked as 'Middleton Stud Farm', but there seem to be few horses anywhere to be seen, and only this partially completed work in the field. Maybe a venture that's yet to get off the ground properly?
