Ground cleared on the old Ever Ready site
Formerly the location of the 'Ever Ready' battery factory in Dawley, and for many years a piece of rather derelict land, this now appears to be being made ready for housing. One wonders what the soil conditions might be like for gardening, given the lead/zinc and other heavy metals once used on site.

Building work pretty much completed
More or less a year on from Image, and the houses are just about up. This is not taken from exactly the same location as the other photo - the view from that same point was obscured by the boarding that's typically erected around construction sites.

OS benchmark - Dawley, building in Town Park
An OS cutmark (helpfully pointed out by white paint) on the brickwork of a small building at the corner of tracks in the Telford Town Park; it was originally levelled in 1961 at 145.512m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn.
