A bitterly cold night in Telford
At about 1:30 in the morning outside the Holiday Inn at Telford. It had been a bitterly cold day and many cars here were iced up already by 9 o'clock. According to the taxi driver who picked us up a little later, it was -5½°C.

The Ironbridge 1/2 Marathon 2010 - the start arena
The event now starts in the arena of the Telford Town Park, but for many years used the Stirchley Leisure Centre in SJ7006. It follows a route down through the Town Park, into Coalbrookdale, along the Ironbride Gorge and across the bridge, then back across the Woodbridge in Coalport, before a long, tough climb back up the Silkin Way to a finish in the Town Park again. Great running.
