24 Sheinton Street, Much Wenlock
The house dates from the early 19th century, and attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101053789-24-sheinton-street-much-wenlock#.YwUupXbMLIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1053789 in 1974.

The Red House, Station Road
This rather fine, late 18th century town house was Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101367543-the-red-house-much-wenlock#.WqLKtdSLTGg in 1950. It is now converted to flats. Note that the location given in that listing is incorrect, as it places the house at Red House Farm in Wigwig, roughly 1.5 miles NW of its true position.

Football game on part of the school field at Much Wenlock
Two dads I assume have arranged a football training session or kick-about here for their sons, or local lads. Nice to see.

OS benchmark - Much Wenlock, wall at the end of Station Road
An OS cutmark at the corner of Station Road where it joins Sheinton Street; it lies on the stonework associated with the former overbridge of the railway line (just offshot to the left of the litter bin seen in
Image), and was most recently levelled in 1966 at 153.930m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn. It appears on the 1901 map at 505ft 6in, so was presumably originally part of the 1st Geodetic Levelling survey, and relates in that case to Liverpool Datum.

Much Wenlock railway station
Opened in 1862 as a stop on the Much Wenlock & Severn Junction Railway, the station at Much Wenlock closed exactly a hundred years later. The passenger service to Craven Arms had ceased in 1951, but services to Wellington at the other end of the line continued until 1962. Now the building has been converted to flats. Shot on film using a Pentax K1000.

The Embankment
The abutment of the former bridge which carried the Budwas to Wenlock train. There is an inscription (now very eroded) which read "Success to the railroad and strength to this bridge. May money pass over it heavily and time lightly, and men and women safely".
