Recreation of Frith's, Church St. Wellington
An attempt to recreate another of Frith's wonderful photos from 1965. A view of Church St. Wellington taken across The Green at the front of the parish church.
The trees have grown a little and have hidden the attractive bank building, however the 1970 vandals have been at work replacing attractive Victorian buildings by "shoebox" monstrosities.

The former Charlton Arms Hotel
As a coaching inn and local bar/restaurant/hotel Image, the (former) Charlton Arms dates from the late 18th or early 19th century, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101209693-charton-arms-hotel-wellington#.XIiyqSj7RPY in 1983. It closed around 2006 after a fire, lay empty and vandalised for a long time Image & Image, but was converted into apartments throughout 2016, shortly after that latter picture.
