6 Market Place, Shifnal
At its core, a 17th century timber framed house (a small part of the framing is still visible top-left, just behind the brick facade, and plenty more in the ground floor shop unit) which was fronted in brick in the 18th century. A late 18th century town house with 19th century additions (mainly the street-frontage extension to the left) and which has been converted to retail and commercial use in the 20th century. For many years it was a newsagent, but most recently a bar and restaurant.
