Construction work starting behind the War Memorial Club
Immediately behind the building seen here Image, work has just started to clear an area which formerly comprised a small carpark and a handful of small allotments. The signage suggests that there are going to be several 2-3 bedroom bungalows and garages. The plastic structure in the deep hole immediately in the foreground comprises a volume of SUDS Attenuation Crates, designed to store rainwater from the site when the houses are completed, and release it slowly into the underlying geology as a soakaway, or possibly into the storm drains, reducing the tendency for the local stream to flood (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems)

Roofs on, tiling well underway. Windows next?
Progress of works on the houses seen in Image after a further 3 months. The far (southern) side of the roofs are tiled, as far as I can tell from a different perspective, and the northern side here is in progress. The telehandler vehicle on the left has had a very tight site to work in for the duration, being constrained by the fence and wall immediately behind it for the duration of the job. They were completed a short while after this image was taken, and didn't take long to be sold and occupied. Finished articles in July 2023 Image

Jasmine House, The Wickets and Cricket View are the names apparently given to these houses along Priorslee Road, at the rear of the War Memorial Club. Previous stages in their construction a year or two ago can be seen at Image, then Image and finally Image
