Immediately behind the building seen here Image, work has just started to clear an area which formerly comprised a small carpark and a handful of small allotments. The signage suggests that there are going to be several 2-3 bedroom bungalows and garages. The plastic structure in the deep hole immediately in the foreground comprises a volume of SUDS Attenuation Crates, designed to store rainwater from the site when the houses are completed, and release it slowly into the underlying geology as a soakaway, or possibly into the storm drains, reducing the tendency for the local stream to flood (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) The same view about 3 months later Image
