St Mary's and Old Parish Church
The core of the building dates back to the 1760s but it was rebuilt in 1882/3 after a fire. There has been a church on the site for 800 years.

Beanscene Hawick
This former mill was renovated to form a multi-functional building that incorporates a café, a theatre/cinema, studios and workshops. The original waterwheel is visible via a glass floor.

Plaque on the wall of Drumlanrig Tower
This plaque provides a brief history of the building. There are details of when the Tower was built - 16Th Cent, and that it was the home of the Douglas family and the Buccleuch family. It must be the oldest building in the town.See Imageto see the tower itself

Turning of the Bull Monument in Hawick
This monument celebrates Turnbull origins. It depicts William of Rule "turning" an angry bull to save the life of Robert the Bruce in Stirling in 1313. It was commissioned by the Hawick-born Turnbull Clan Association and was unveiled in 2009 when there was a special gathering of Turbulls from many other countries. The monument was sculpted by Galashiels artist Angela Hunter. Around the base are words from the poem Scenes of Infancy by John Leyden of Denholm.

Silver Street, Hawick
Silver Street in Hawick is a narrow thoroughfare; it's seen in this image from near to its junction with the B6399, one of the main routes through the town and close to a bridge over the Slitrig Water. The building in ashlar stone at the left side of the image was once the Commercial Bank and has the OS flush bracket number 1492 low down on its Silver Street face.
