Curror Street, Selkirk
This is the west end of the street with the playground of Knowepark Primary School on the left. The coloured pencil-shaped bollards on the left have recently been installed by Scottish Borders Council as part of their Safer Routes to Schools Initiative. There are 24 of these bollards along the length of the school frontage and their purpose is to stop illegal parking on the pavement outside the school.

The Dunsdale Road mills once run by Ettrick and Yarrow Spinners Ltd have been renovated and are now the Ettrick Riverside Business Centre. The nearest part of the mill is home to the Borders studios of BBC Scotland.

The former Ettrick & Yarrow Spinners Mill at Selkirk
This is the gabled pediment with clock on the southeast elevation with the original mill lettering. This converted and restored 19th century 4-storey Ettrick and Yarrow Spinners Mill in Dunsdale Road is now owned by Scottish Enterprise Borders who offer a range of accommodation for all types of businesses. Scottish Enterprise is Scotland’s main economic, enterprise, innovation and investment agency. My grandfather worked in this mill as a foreman spinner in the 1950s. The Eildon Group offices, Ettrick Riverside, Selkirk
Eildon Group consists of a parent company, Eildon Housing Association Ltd, and two subsidiary organisations, Eildon Tweed Valley Housing Association Ltd and Eildon Enterprise Ltd. Eildon’s six regional offices were relocated in September 2009 into this converted old weaving shed at Dunsdale Road in Selkirk.
