Spottiswoode West Lodge
A 19thC lodge on the Spottiswoode Estate ['Trumpeter's Lodge' on the OS map] https://canmore.org.uk/site/55825/spottiswoode-west-lodge. Above the gable window is a carved inscription Image and Image, which is said to have originated from the Archbishop Spottiswoode's house in Glasgow https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200351332-west-lodge-spottiswoode-westruther#.Y1qetSPMLGg.

Ivy covered arch, House of Brunta
If I didn't have a phobia about ivy, I'd have liked to clean this up so see if it's identical to that in NT5848, and anyway, the neighbours might have objected.
