Bristol Mill, Bristol Terrace, Galashiels
The mill was built in 1885 when the woollen industry was a major employer in the town. The mill closed in 1998 and plans were lodged with Scottish Borders Council in 2011 to convert the property into student accommodation. I am unsure what the current situation is regarding these proposals. This was viewed from Lee Brae.

Bristol Terrace, Galashiels
This is the A7 road out of Galashiels to Edinburgh and at places it is single lane traffic only after the recent heavy snowfall that has covered most of the country. The police were advising motorists not to travel until the main roads have been cleared, but progress is slow due to a shortage of grit.
