The Black Path and advance railway works, Langlee
The Black Path is the tarmaced path and cycleway on the former Waverley Line. This is now to be reinstated as the Borders Railway to Tweedbank, so the path will need to be re-routed. The archway is a warning to contractors of the footbridge just behind the photographer in this view.

Two level bridge, Galafoot/Langlee
A strikingly different bridge which crosses the railway and river. It may date back to before the closure of the Waverley Line, it predates the reopening. It also predates the time folk started giving consideration to wheelchair users and young families.
