Library stone
The building in Chapel Street is the library, having been founded in 1905 and officially opened the year after. The stone is set in the wall facing into the street, allowing passers-by to admire the facility. See Image] for the entrance.

Fountain outside the library
Bridgwater library has this fountain in its grounds, close as it is to the river Parrett. The inscription merely details the fact that it was presented to the town by Alfred Garratt Barham in 1881; he must have been a local dignitary as he was elected as town mayor in 1886. Wolf at the door?
A fine crest of Bridgwater's coat of arms, on the gates of the town library. The latin inscription seems difficult to attribute, but can be found on medals and other material around the early 1900s whilst the town was headed by mayor Thomas William Manchip. Not sure about the town's spelling though...
