14 Oct 2022 | Night Time Economy. With COVID restrictions having eased, the Night Time Economy in Bridgwater Town Centre has picked up and back to where we were. The Neighbourhood Team work closely with the Licensing Officers from Avon & Somerset Police and Sedgemoor District Council to identify any problems. This can be related to disorder, underage drinking, drugs and anti-social behaviour. We also attend Pub Watch meetings where discussion is made around issues identified, banning orders are issued through Pub Watch, the Neighbourhood Team assist with delivery of banning letters. Response (3 May 2023)NPT continuing to work with Licensing Officers, and Pub Watch is also continuing. |
14 Oct 2022 | Following a crime series of bike thefts, the Sedgemoor NPT have been targeting the known hot spot areas, and have set ourselves some objectives - Objective: Decrease the amount of theft taking place within the Town Centre and shops in Bridgwater This will be continually reviewed, and we would encourage anyone having had a bike stolen to record this with the police by the usual means. Response (3 May 2023) NPT continuing to target hot spots for bike thefts. |
