Holy Trinity Men's Club
Opposite Holy Trinity Church and dated AD 1847. The title of the picture is based on the Google map used for submission. If anybody knows different, please raise a ticket.

A simple beauty
Holy Trinity was built to serve the large influx of townsfolk that occurred when the railways arrived. The Bishop of Bath and Wells commissioned the founding of a new church in 1839, which eventually opened on 18th June, 1842, at a cost of about £5,000.

Gone under the hammer
In 1964, this modern chapel was built in honour of the old octagonal church in Middle Street - an eighteenth century place where John Wesley preached. However, the dwindling congregation forced the proprietors to close in 2012 and sell up. Local antiques auctioneers, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, took over.
