Holy Trinity was built to serve the large influx of townsfolk that occurred when the railways arrived. The Bishop of Bath and Wells commissioned the founding of a new church in 1839, which eventually opened on 18th June, 1842, at a cost of about £5,000. See Image] for more inside.
